It’s mid wedding season and I’m weary. Good weary but weary never the less. It gets harder and harder to think of words to write about the weddings I’ve been a part of because I’m a photographer and writing is really not my medium. I prefer to let the pictures speak for themselves. They tell the story better than I ever could in writing.
In the case of these pictures Carly and Alex’s wedding was one of those days where everything came together perfectly. Lovely people, great food, the seaside location, one of my favourite venues and the most laid back of days. What could be more quintessentially British than the seaside, ice cream and fish and chips?
I also got to work with the awesome Rosie from A Vintage Wedding again. She’s a good friend of Carly and recommended me and I’m very grateful. The flowers were spectacular and she knocked it out of the park. And the light up letters were provided by another favourite, Doris Loves.
So on to the wedding. In Alex’s words in a letter he wrote for Carly to read on the morning of the wedding “I am absolutely certain that today is going to be the best day of my life”. I’m absolutly certain that Alex was right. Here’s what happened.
