Tor and Si’s beautiful, sunny outdoor The House Meadow wedding in Biddenden, Kent

Today I’m sharing Tor and Si’s beautiful, sunny outdoor wedding at The House Meadow in Kent. Like so many of my couples last year, Tor and Si had a few false starts and reschedules, but when they finally came together with 30 of their closest friends and family, they had a perfect day with perfect weather.

Tor and Si met at their university’s adventure and expedition society, where they connected over their love of climbing and hiking club (and beer, I’m told!).  This love of adventure was reflected in their wedding styling, with nods to the hills and mountains they’ve scaled together.

An outdoor ceremony on the water

I spent the morning photographing Tor getting ready. There were baby goats…I did, of course, get extremely excited by the baby goats. It was a really laid-back and lovely morning, which ended with Tor’s dad arriving in his beautiful vintage camper van.

The ceremony took place on the lake, where guests sat on hay bales in the sunshine. After exiting to a small flurry of confetti, everyone gathered by the lakeside to celebrate with a glass of English sparkling wine from a local vineyard.

Dinner, speeches, portraits and dancing

Dinner was an Indian-inspired feast from the absolutely amazing Bear Claw Catering. They create seriously amazing food that always looks as good as it tastes. After speeches and toasts, everyone made their way back outside to enjoy the last of the sunshine. I took this opportunity to whisk Tor and Si off for some portraits, as the sun was setting over The House Meadow. After photographing Tor and Si’s first dance, I left them to enjoy the party they’d been waiting so long for.

Working with Tor and Si was an absolute pleasure. They were so chilled and laid back, and so happy to be finally getting married. It was also my first time at The House Meadow and the team there are absolutely magical. The venue is a working farm that’s been in the same family for over six generations, and they love welcoming couples to celebrate their weddings. I really loved shooting there and hope to return soon.
