Liz and Dan booked me for their Sutton Bonington Hall wedding photography after I photographed one of Liz’s colleagues weddings right back in my early days of being a photographer. I was really looking forward to being a part of Liz and Dan’s day, as I’d met them previously in Bath for an engagement shoot and we had a lot of fun exploring the Bath skyline.
Liz and Dan had a beautifully personal church ceremony, conducted by Liz’s uncle, at Grace Dieu Manor School where several of Liz’s family both attended and taught.
After they’d said their vows they had afternoon tea at the School, before heading to Sutton Bonington Hall for drinks on the lawn and garden games.
Sutton Bonington Hall has beautiful grounds but also lots of really lovely backdrops inside, so it’s a really versatile venue for all weathers. Liz and Dan lucked out with beautiful sunshine at their April wedding but if you’re getting married there and aren’t so lucky there are so many interesting spots with lovely light within the house itself.
After some emotional speeches and dinner, they spent the rest of the evening dancing. It was a really laid back and lovely day. Here are 15 of my favourite pictures from Liz and Dan’s day.
