Emily and Mike’s East London engagement shoot at St Dunstan’s In The East Engagement Shoot
How beautiful is St Dunstans In The East? St Dunsrands is an old, ruined church and it’s been standing on the same spot in East London since 1100. It’s been damaged twice – once in The Great Fire of London and once in the Blitz. Both times it’s survived, and now the ruins are surrounded by nature. It made a lovely backdrop for Emily and Mike’s East London engagement shoot.
Soft, overcast East London Light
It was an overcast day for Emily and Mike’s St Dunstans In The East Engagement Shoot. Luckily soft, diffused light is always really lovely to work with. After taking some shots around St Dunstans, it was time to head out into the City of London. From the crumbling ruins of the church, to the modern backdrops of City of London architecture, there’s so much to see around this part of town. I love the way Emily’s dress pops against the backdrop of the greenery and also the city architecture.
Tips for your St Dunstan’s In The East Engagement Shoot
If you really want to experience a deserted City for your St Dunstans In The East Engagement Shoot, I’d highly recommend heading to the City on a Sunday. The City is largely a financial district, which means St Dunstans is often busy with workers relaxing on their lunch breaks during the week. At the weekend though, the City is quiet. This part of town would be especially lovely for a Dawn photoshoot.
