There’s something wonderful about being able to get married at home and Kate and Davide’s Somerset back garden wedding was as quintessentially English as weddings come.
They booked Alice as their Somerset wedding photographer and she really loved being a part of both of their English wedding and their Villa Fargo wedding in Sicily.
Kate and Davide met when Kate became Davide’s English teacher (in adult education!).
Davide was well over the age of majority, and nothing happened between them until after school had finished for the summer. After the final lesson of term Davide and his partner-in-crime Marco invited Kate out very casually to go to the beach. A month or so of regular beach days and pool parties later, they got together officially.
It was really important to Kate and Davide to hold marriage celebrations in both of their respective home countries, so that friends and relatives from each place would have a chance to celebrate with them, without air travel being involved.
Kate was especially looking forward to getting married in the church in her village where she went to Sunday School as a small child … seeing people she hadn’t seen for way too long because she’d been living in Italy for six years and Davide was most excited about having both of their families together to share the experience.
