You want an experienced and established wedding photographer

I’ve photographed over 250 weddings and counting and I’ve been full time for over seven years.  In that time I’ve photographed barn weddings, warehouse weddings, beach weddings, pub weddings, destination weddings, stately home weddings, festival weddings, rock venue weddings, 6 person weddings, 300 person weddings, elopements, Winter weddings, Summer weddings, Autumn and Spring weddings, classic weddings, alternative weddings, LGBTQ+ weddings, mixed sex weddings, Christian weddings, Jewish Weddings, Indian weddings, Greek weddings, civil weddings, humanist weddings and vow renewals!

I’ve got a whole load of experience under my belt and I’ve dealt with every kind of situation from torrential rain to weddings in low light.  Working with an experienced photographer means working with someone who can consistently create awesome wedding pictures, whatever the circumstances.  I work with a limited number of couples each year, to ensure I can provide the best possible service.

You want a wedding photographer who can guide you through the process

I really do pride myself on providing a whole load of useful information to my couples that help them plan their day and maximise their photography.  Check out my planning guide which contains lots of articles about different aspects of your wedding day and wedding photography.  I also extensively discuss the timeline and logistics as part of the planning process.

My main aim is to do whatever I can to make sure your day runs smoothly, that you get the most out of your time with me and that you have an absolutely brilliant time in the process.

I’m also always around – you won’t wait a week to hear back from me.  Tweet me, email me or we can jump on Skype for a chat.  I’ll always get back to you within 48 hours during the week, to help you out with whatever you need.

You want a collection of wedding pictures that gain importance over time

Right now you probably want an awesome, creative documentary record of your day and a few creative portraits.  In the future, though, you’ll find that simple candid portraits of guests and the more formal family group shots become more and more precious as time goes on.

The good news is you can have it all.  I offer documentary coverage, family group shots, informal candid portraits of guests, editorial detail shots, awesome portraits of the two of you together and parent pleasing shots. The best part?  For most of the day you won’t even realise I’m there.

Imagine sitting down in 10, 20 or 30 years time and reliving your wedding through your pictures.

You want a wedding photographer that’s not too ‘wedding photographer-ish’

We’ve all come across the stereotypical grumpy, bossy wedding photographer who barks orders at your guests and imposes their view of what wedding photography should be upon their clients.

Luckily that’s almost the opposite of my approach.  I want to capture you, your family and friends as they are and I want to blend into the background.

At every single wedding someone asks me how I know the couple.  I take it as a huge compliment that people assume I’m one of your guests and working unobtrusively means I’m able to really capture all of the wonderful moments from your wedding without people being aware that they’re being photographed.  I am relaxed and fun to be around but also professional.

You want a wedding photographer with ecstatic former clients!

It’s really, really important to me to get feedback from the wonderful couples I’ve worked with.  I am hugely invested in my business, my photography and creating the best possible set of images I can for you, so getting lovely feedback really does mean the world to me.  You can check out some of the feedback left by previous couples here.  I’ve also got a solid 5* rating on Google (what ever that means….) and my mum is quite proud of me too.

You want a wedding photographer that runs a professional and ethical business

I’m a fully insured, registered LTD company and running an ethical, professional and sustainable business is really important to me.  There’s not really any way of making that sound more exciting, so I’ll leave it there….

I have processes in place for all aspects of my business, from your experience as a customer to my processes for backing up your images.  I make sure you know what to expect at every step of the process of us working together.

You want a wedding photographer who invests in their creative development

Creative development is really, really important to me and I have a training budget each year, which I use to keep pushing my creativity forwards, so I’m constantly growing and developing.  Creativity is something that you need to keep nurturing and doing so is an important part of my approach.

I have attended workshops with some of the best photographers in the world (and even organise my own festival for wedding photographers!), because I truly believe that continued professional and creative development is crucial for staying inspired and passionate about what you do.

As a speaker and educator, I also deliver training to other photographers and speak at prominent photography-related events. I’ve been lucky enough to be invited to speak at events all around the world!

You want a wedding photographer who cares about you and your wedding

I care about doing an amazing job for you, I care about your experience working with me, I care about the work that I create for you but most of all I care about you having an amazing time at your wedding and I’ll do everything I can to help make that happen.

You want a wedding photographer who’s won awards and stuff

This is honestly way less important to me than all of the other stuff, which is why I’ve left it until last.  I mean it’s not – it’s a huge honour to have been selected for awards and I am hugely grateful to have had my work featured so extensively in the press, but first and foremost I want to provide an amazing service and do a brilliant job for my couples.  If this is a factor in your decision though, you can check out the things I’ve won / the places my work has been featured here.

Bonus reason: because you want to have a no obligation chat, to see if we’re a good fit for each other

It’s so, so important to me that I work with couples who love what I do.  I don’t take any bookings without first having a chat with you to find out about you, your day and how you want photography to fit into it.  If you’d like to have a chat about how I work in more detail, please get in touch.

I’ll send you a brochure, and we can arrange to have a chat over Skype to find out a bit more about each other.  I work as a London wedding photographer and across the UK and Europe, including Bath, Bristol and anywhere else my work takes me!
