Lucy and Andy’s Rainy Dewsal Court Wedding in Herefordshire

I blogged Lucy and Andy’s Bristol engagement shoot a while back and it couldn’t have been any more different from their Rainy Dewsall Court Wedding. Actually I’ve only ever photographed at Dewsall Court in the rain but I promise the fact that it rains every time I’m there isn’t anything to do with me!
Dewsall Court is a magical location for a wedding, even if it does rain. Keep scrolling to check out the full story below.

What Lucy and Andy had to say about working with Babb Photo as their wedding photogrpher

We are completely and utterly thrilled with our photos!! I can’t thank you enough for doing such a stunning job. We both got quite emotional and re-lived all the nerves and happiness of the day when looking through them as you have totally captured our wedding and how people felt. They are fantastically perfect and I can’t stop going back through them and showing them to everyone.

The beginning

Lucy and Andy had been together for 7 years when they got married. They met at Sheffield University when they both joined the sailing club. They moved in after a few years and lived in Sheffield until they moved to Bristol. Andy and Lucy found me through Maggie and Sam, who I’m catching up with later in the summer for a family shoot!

A personal wedding ceremony in Dewsall’s barn

Lucy and Andy’s spent the morning getting ready separately. Andy hung out with his friends and had a game of chess, while Lucy got ready with her bridesmaids and mum.

Everyone made their way to the beautifully decorated barn, where Autumn flowers were hung from the rafters. It was lovely. After a relaxed and personal ceremony, everyone left the barn for another dash through the rainy grounds.

Once inside the house, with cosy fires burning, everyone enjoyed canapes and a few glasses of fizz.

Luckily the weather brightened up for long enough to take some relaxed group shots. The heavens opened again but we decided to head out into the grounds for some atmospheric portraits by the lake.

A cosy dinner and speeches

The candlelit barn was a beautiful backdrop for an atmospheric dinner and speeches. After dinner was done, the dancing started and I left Lucy and Andy having a pretty awesome time on the dancefloor with their friends and family.
