Sometimes stupid sentences like “let’s do a dawn engagement shoot” blurt out of my face before I can stop them. In theory I know that dawn light is sublime (subject to the good old English weather) but in practice dawn means 5am in the summer. 5am!
I am definitely not a morning person but I set my alarm for 4:30am and met up with Maude and Gulliver at Port Meadow, just in time for the first light of dawn.
The light (oh the light!), the fact that they were up for an adventure and the loveliness of the pair of them meant I enjoyed every second of our trip to Port Meadow and then Oxford city centre. I’d never been to Oxford before and it really is very beautiful.
