Moseley Park Engagement Photography in Birmingham
It’s hard to believe that this Engagement shoot at Moseley Park in Birmingham was my first of 2021 and it didn’t take place until March! It’s looking like it will be another weird year because of this pesky global pandemic! We march onwards though, and I was absolutely thrilled to get back to work. I was quite emotional about it, if I’m honest.
Luckily I got my photography season off to the perfect start when I met up with Imani and Simeon. Moseley Park in Birmingham is a beautiful parkland set around a gorgeous lake for the perfect backdrop.
It used to be part of the Moseley Hall Estate and it’s the location of the famous Moseley Folk Festival, as well as various other events. In spite of living in Birmingham for nearly two years I haven’t actually shot here that much, so it’s a real treat to explore somewhere new with an amazing couple to honour their engagement!
An engagement shoot is a great way to celebrate!
Imani and Simeon are in the process of planning their wedding and they wanted to capture some shots of them together, to celebrate their engagement. It was really lovely chatting to Imani and Simeon about their wedding plans.
It’s been so hard for couples who are newly planning their weddings, as everything has been so uncertain and up in the air.
Luckily the tide seems to be turning and it’s been absolutely joyful to be back photographing couples in love. You definitely don’t need an engagement photoshoot to mark your engagement, but it is a really lovely way to record what is a really special time in its own right.

Moseley Park in the sunshine
We headed into the park to explore on a beautiful sunny day. There are a variety of great backdrops in the park, from wooded areas to a really beautiful lake. I got quite excited each time we turned a corner and we found another patch of great light.
As you can see from the pictures it’s pretty magical. We finished up the shoot outside Imani and Simeon’s old primary school. It turns out they both attended the same school, at the same time, but they didn’t meet until they were adults!
