I’d never visited The Lake District before and it exceeded all of my expectations. You can see my personal pictures from the trip here.
Caitlin and Chase held their celebrant led wedding ceremony at The Cottages at Graithwaite. The ceremony was really personal, as they so often are when a couple works with a celebrant to put together a ceremony that reflects them and their relationship.
After a sunny drinks reception at the cottages, the wedding party headed down to Grubbins Point on the edge of Lake Windemere for the reception. The airstream trailer art-deco bar, stretch tent and beautiful rustic styling all looked magical in the lake side setting. They say you can experience all four seasons in a day on the Lakes and it did rain a bit, but that didn’t dampen spirits. It was dry as the sun went down, and some guests mingled around fire pits or sat by the lake edge, while others hit the dance floor (and Sambucca!) with enthusiasm.
