Gemma and Dave’s relaxed Kingscote Barn Wedding in Gloucestershire
Today I’m sharing Gemma and Dave’s Kingscote Barn wedding in Gloucestershire. It was an absolutely brilliant day. There was a lovely laid back ceremony, a relaxed reception with a bouncy castle, amazing food and a rock covers band!
I’d met Gemma and Dave before their wedding. It’s always really nice to get to know my couples a bit before the day. We met for a very soggy engagement shoot at Westonbirt Arboretum. We ended up getting completely soaked.
I also avidly followed their walking adventures on Instagram. They walked The Cotswolds Way about six months before I did, although they were hardcore and camped. I popped off to a bed and breakfast at the end of every day’s walking… and I have no regrets about it!
Gemma and Dave’s Day at Kingscote Barn
After a busy morning photographing Gemma and Dave at their separate getting ready locations, the wedding day at Kingscote Barn started. Gemma and Dave had a beautiful ceremony in the barn and then everyone headed out into the gardens, to enjoy drinks in the sunshine.
Kingscote Barn is in a beautiful location, with the Gloucestershire countryside and rolling hills in the background. If the beautiful landscape wasn’t enough, there was also a bouncy castle which went down a storm with guests.
Dinner and Speeches
Food was a really important aspect of the day for Gemma and Dave and their Kingscote Barn Wedding. Clever Chefs did an amazing job and I can confirm that the food was absolutely delicious! After dinner, everyone laughed their way through the speeches and then I whisked Gemma and Dave outside, for a few final portraits against the backdrop of a beautiful Gloucestershire sunset. Check out that amazing sky!

Hello, I’ve waited here for you, Everlong
Gemma and Dave’s emotional first dance to Everlong by the Foo Fighters was played by their friends. Afterwards, Iron Tyger kicked off the party. They’re a rock covers band and it’s fair to say they were amazing. The dancefloor went wild the second they started playing.
I had a wonderful day being a part of Gemma and Dave’s wedding. If you’re looking for a wedding photographer in Birmingham, The Midlands or across the UK I’d love to chat with you. You can get in touch here!
