Horsebridge Station Wedding Photography – Rhiannon and Tony’s joyful wedding day
I have probably included a few too many pictures in this blog post. When everyone’s as happy as they were at Rhiannon and Tony’s Horsebridge Station wedding, it’s kind of hard to narrow it down. Seriously they were a joyous bunch of people to be around.
Rhiannon and Tony spent the morning in Winchester, getting ready for their wedding day. After the preparations were done, the day continued with a ruse of epic proportions.
A secret wedding location and a mystery bus tour
Guests had no idea about any of the details of the wedding! They were told to meet Tony at a carpark in Winchester. On arrival, a vintage double decker bus picked everyone up to whisk them off to Horsebridge Station.
I was so excited to photograph at Horsebridge Station. It’s a lovingly restored Victorian railway station, where you can marry on one of the platforms. There are beautiful grounds and railway memorabilia as far the eye can see.
Drinks, cheese and a cat cake
After the ceremony there were drinks on the platform, cheese (so much cheese!) and a whole lot of cake. The cakes were made by one of Tony and Rhiannon’s friends. One even featured a picture of their cat.
After an outdoor first dance, everyone made their way back on to the Mystery Bus for part 2 of the celebrations.
Tony’s special chilli and a ukulele band
The evening celebrations took place at The Corner House. Guests were served Chilli from Tony’s own recipe. After dinner they danced to the brilliant Alresford Ukelele Jam. In between the food and the music, we popped out into the streets of Winchester for a few more portraits as the light started to fade.
