Emma and Mark’s St John The Baptist Church Tamworth and Edgbaston Golf Club Wedding photography in Birmingham

I absolutely loved working with Emma and Mark, to capture their Edgbaston Golf Club Wedding. Highlights included a giant tractor, whizzing around the golf club on a golf buggy at sunset, Emma’s amazing Couture Company gown, and their Darlek wedding cake. It was also an absolute delight to hang out with such a wonderful bunch of humans for the day.

Emma and Mark were so excited to celebrate their relationship. They’d been together 13 years at the time they married, and they have weathered a few storms in that time. They truly are best friends, and they couldn’t wait to celebrate that with their favourite people around them. A Tamworth church ceremony with a gigantic tractor

We started the day at Emma and Mark’s house in Tamworth. They live close enough to the church to be able to wander there from home, and lots of people from their village were there to support them.

The ceremony was really beautiful and I was especially moved that they chose How Great Thou Art as one of their hymns. It was my grandma’s favourite and it always reminds me of her.

After the ceremony, Emma was treated to a surprise visit from the biggest tractor I have ever seen in my life. It was immense and Emma had a great time climbing up into the driver’s seat. Not an easy feat in her absolutely beautiful bespoke dress.

Emma’s dress was made by iconic Birmingham-based The Couture Company. They specialize in custom-made bridal wear and they’re the place to go for the custom, quirky, unique or alternative wedding dress of your dreams. Emma loved her dress and you can see why!

Edgbaston Golf Club wedding photography: the reception feat golf buggy rides and a Dalek ice luge!

Emma and Mark held their reception at beautiful Edgebaston Golf Club. Mark is a member and enjoys the landscaped grounds. It was lovely to be able to incorporate this into their portraits, even if I feared for my safety a tinnnyyyyy bit while hanging off the back of a golf buggy as we whizzed around the site!

One of the weird and wonderful things about being a wedding photographer is the unusual modes of transport you end up shooting on. Boats, yachts (!), golf buggies and horse-drawn buggies have all featured. Every wedding is a bit of an adventure.

There were various nods to Dr. Who. I am a fan, so I really loved Emma and Mark’s Dalek ice luge and Dalek wedding cake.

Congratulations again to Emma and Mark. I’m grateful that they booked me for their Edgbaston Golf Club wedding photography. I loved being a part of their day. If you’re looking for a wedding photographer in Edgbaston, Birmingham or the Midlands get in touch. I’d love to be a part of your day.
