They say it always rains in Ireland but every time I’ve been there to photograph a wedding I haven’t really seen any evidence of that. It always seems to be sunny or overcast in that lovely soft light kind of way.
Sarah and Daniel’s wedding took us to Westcove, on the Ring of Kerry – I’ll be sharing some pictures from it next week on the blog so do pop back then – and it was such a beautiful location for a wedding. Pete and I flew into Dublin and enjoyed winding our way across the Irish countryside, before reaching the West Coast the day before Sarah and Daniel got married.
Sarah and Daniel’s Derrynane pre wedding photography took us to one of Ireland’s magnificent beaches. Honestly the beaches in Ireland can beat almost any location I’ve ever visited, although I’ve never quite been brave enough to take a dip in the Atlantic.
There was sunshine in abundance on the day of Sarah and Daniel’s pre shoot though. Sometimes everything just comes together perfectly – a wonderful couple who give themselves wholeheartedly to the process of being photographed, a beautiful backdrop and light that takes your breath away.

Thank you so much, Alex. You’re braver than me if you go anywhere near the Atlantic!
