Ellen and Jeff wanted a locally sourced wedding and you don’t get much more locally sourced than having everything from the church ceremony to your foodie reception on the street where you live.
In fact even Ellen’s bespoke wedding dress by Susie Stone was created on Bermondsey Street and the beautiful wedding flowers were from Hayford & Rhodes, who are also based in Bermondsey.
Jeff started his day at a hotel just around the corner and he got ready with his brothers, while Ellen spent the morning with her bridesmaids and parents and, of course their adorable tuxedo wearing pooch, who also acted as their ring barer.
They were married at St Mary Magdalen Church and they had a drinks reception and canapés at The Vitrine Gallery, before heading over the road to Zucca, one of their favourite restaurants, where they enjoyed an Italian feast.
Ellen and Jeff’s day was all about food, family, friends. They’re both from the US and they love living in Bermondsey so their wedding day was a great chance to celebrate their life together and to show their respective friends and family a little slice of their South-London neighbourhood.
The day was beautifully styled by Ellen with the help of Charley from London Bride and the amazing cake is by Little Bear Cakery.
I loved how laid back Ellen and Jeff’s wedding was. They say London is a city of villages it felt really relaxed and intimate to have a London wedding with all of the main events happening on the same street.
Congratulations Ellen and Jeff and thanks for choosing me to photography your wedding.
