When Alex and Gudrun got in touch about their wedding Gudrun told me that she threw a pint of cider over Alex on their first date, to mark him as hers forever. She also told me that she was planning to get married in gold sequins and that they’d almost eloped in Las Vegas, but decided they didn’t want to tie the knot without their friends and family.
Gudrun and Alex live in Walthamstow, and that’s where they booked me to photograph their wedding. Then I went and moved to Bath but luckily they were happy to swing by for a visit, and to be the subjects of my first ever Bath pre wedding photo shoot.
Did I mention that June has been quite rainy? When I say quite I mean it’s rained at every wedding I’ve photographed so far. And every pre wedding shoot, come to think of it. Gudrun and Alex’s shoot was no exception, so we explored the covered bits of Bath for the most part, before deciding just to embrace the drizzle (as you can see from Alex’s shirt towards the end!).
I laughed really hard with these two and they laugh really hard with each other. I can’t wait for thei Walthamstow and Shoreditch wedding later this year.
