whitstable engagement photography kent wedding-15Happy 2016!  This is my first blog post of the new year and if you’re visiting the blog for the first time you might want to check out my Best of 2016 post and my series about planning your wedding photography.

Pete and I are travelling at the moment and before we left for the USA we spent the last month of 2015 in Whitstable, on the Kent coast.  This beautiful little seaside town is one of my favourite costal spots and I love the pastel coloured shops on the high street, the amazing seafood restaurants and some of the the best fish and chips I have ever eaten.

I’m photographing Katy and Ross’ Danby Castle wedding later this year and I was really excited to shoot them on Whitstable sea front, in the blustery December wind.  I love the melancholy feeling of the seaside in the winter.

Katy and Ross didn’t stop laughing the whole time we were shooting, which nicely offset the bleakness of the coast on a very overcast day.

Here’s what happened at their Whitstable engagement photography session. whitstable engagement photography kent wedding-4whitstable engagement photography kent wedding-10whitstable engagement photography kent wedding-3whitstable engagement photography kent wedding-6whitstable engagement photography kent wedding-7whitstable engagement photography kent wedding-8whitstable engagement photography kent wedding-9whitstable engagement photography kent weddingwhitstable engagement photography kent wedding-22whitstable engagement photography kent wedding-18whitstable engagement photography kent wedding-15whitstable engagement photography kent wedding-16whitstable engagement photography kent wedding-19whitstable engagement photography kent wedding-17whitstable engagement photography kent wedding-13whitstable engagement photography kent wedding-12kent wedding photographer
