Birmingham Wedding Photographer
Available in the Midlands, London & across the UK

Hello!
I'm Laura Babb, but my friends call me Babb. I'm an award-winning Birmingham wedding photographer, working across the UK (and hey, I photograph lovely families too). When I’m not taking pictures, I spend a lot of time stomping around the countryside. I love uninterrupted horizons, windswept landscapes, desolate beaches, rolling hills, trig points, the light just before and after sunset, starry skies and pine forests. I'm partial to sticky dance floors, indie classics, art and architecture.
I also teach meditation, and I'm studying to become a counsellor on the side! When it comes to wedding photography, I love to tell stories full of joy with my camera. I photograph things as they happen, capturing real sparks of emotion and authentic expressions. I want to make every image truly reflective of the people who invite me to capture a small part of their wedding story.

As a creative wedding photographer in Birmingham,
I approach each wedding day with a documentary eye, I want every image to help you relive the joy you felt in that moment, to make it truly reflective of the people who invite me to capture a tiny part of their story; and perhaps to wrap it up with a little wit and humour too. Oh, and in 2016 I was one of Rangefinder Magazine's 30 Rising Stars of Worldwide Wedding Photography, which is pretty much as prestigious as it gets in the photography world!
I'm a big fan of Birmingham weddings - from stylish, contemporary venues like Hampton Manor, to the cool Warehouse wedding venues in Digbeth, like Fazeley Studios; or art spaces like Ikon Gallery, or beautiful green spaces like the Birmingham Botanical Garden. In fact, you can see my round up of Birmingham's coolest wedding venues by heading here.
I have been photographing weddings for well over a decade, having photographed them in every corner of the UK and beyond; and I'd love to be part of your story too.

I Photograph families too with the same natural, documentary approach as I apply to weddings - both in Birmingham and the West Midlands, and further afield.
From the way your small people look when they've just woken up, to the beauty and chaos of mealtimes - it's impossible to properly document your own family life when you're busy living it - which is where me, and my camera, come in.
